Both Jeff Bezos' Blue Origin and Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic accomplished successful suborbital missions to the edge of space, but they currently do not have the capacity for their commercial crafts to orbit the Earth — yet. Chris Johnson, the space law advisor for Secure World Foundation, a private organization that promotes sustainable space exploration, told Cheddar that orbital missions seem to be the next step in the trajectory for commercial space flights. Johnson also talked about how the safe returns to Earth for both missions were the most important for the future of space tourism.
