Orlando to Build Memorial at Pulse Nightclub Site

In a unanimous decision by the Orlando City Council yesterday. The site of the 2016 pulse nightclub shooting will be purchased with plans to turn those grounds into a memorial. The gay nightclub was the site of a mass shooting that left 49 people dead. More than 50 people injured survivors and the families of those involved have debated what should be done with this location. In a statement posted on X Orlando's mayor said this while there may never be consensus among those impacted by the tragedy input from victims, families and survivors will be key to the process moving forward.
