Pet of the Week: Meet Troy

Welcome back to Between Bells. It is time for the pet of the week highlight one furry friend that is looking for his or her forever. I love this segment so much so here with us is Valeria Cassara skill, senior manager of admissions and matchmaking over A C A. S. P. C. A adoption center valerius. Such a pleasure to have you here. We want to welcome Troy to our studio. So Valeria tell us a lot a little bit about Troy. He's such a sweet, mellow guy. Yeah that's right. Actually. Troy is about a six year old mixed breed boy who would be a perfect partner for somebody working from home. He's as you can see he's a very mellow dog. Will enjoy a home that he can just like chill out on the couch, watch tv with you or just take an hour you read a book. He'd it does have some verse of energy. So he can also be a good partner for somebody who likes to jog in the morning and take long walks in the evening. I was gonna ask what kind of pet parent do you think would be great for Troy? How is he with kids cats, other animals. Um So we think that Troy will be a fit for most families and the shelter staff at the S. P. C. Will be more than happy to to talk to you about what different what different types of home will be appropriate for him. Okay so for those and by the way there's the bio of Troy right there, loves to do his own thing but we'll let you know what he wants to play and by the way he has been so sweet and so mellow here in the studio for those that are interested in troy Valeria. And by the way he is staring in your pocket, we also gave him treats. He's so calm. And so what do we know about what about what's his history like? He's a very mellow boy. He really loves people absolutely loves people and loves to spend time with his human friends and and how and you said about six years old, we don't know very much about his previous history do we? Uh he was actually adopted from us and uh the circumstances change. Who adopted and he came back to us a few weeks ago and is he good with other dogs? He is the type of dog that he could live with another dog but he would need to just have a slow introduction. Any advice for first time adopters who want a dog just maybe a little nervous. Um I would say the first thing to do is keep an open mind when you are looking to adult because sometimes you might fall in love with an animal that you didn't consider in the first place. Um But also just talk to the shelter staff to adoption counselors and just talk about your lifestyle. How how many you know, how many hours are out of your home you were out of If you're an active person, if you're looking for a more mellow dog and based on that information, the adoption counselor will be able to match you with the right fit scale senior manager of admissions and matchmaking over at A S.
