Pfizer reportedly in talks to buy the cancer drug makers Siege in Pfizer's stock down today about 2% while season shares soared more than 10%. This is totally typical reaction when an acquisition is announced. So citing people familiar with the matter, The Wall Street Journal reporting the pharma giant is in early stage discussions to acquire, see jen for some $30 billion. The deal isn't sealed yet though, and the companies have to go through a thorough antitrust review of the proposal. So it marks the second go around for the cancer focused biotechnology company. It was previously in talks last summer with Burke, but that agreement falling through after the companies couldn't agree on a final price point.
