Pfizer Warns Shortage Looms for Antibiotic Used to Treat Syphilis 

Drug maker pfizer warning that they might run out of the drug used to treat syphilis and other bacterial infections in Children. By the end of this month, they say a spike in syphilis infections in adults has forced them now to prioritize that supply to that group. The company says that they are prioritizing the manufacturing of the drug to meet the quote significant demand increases. They're seeing Pfizer notes that there has also been a shortage of the anti excuse me, antibiotic, amoxicillin since October and that another drug used to treat upper respiratory tract infections also expected to run out in the coming months as well.
