Police Officer in Elijah McClain Case Found Not Guilty

A Colorado jury reached a verdict yesterday in the trial of the last police officer to face charges in connection to the 2019 death of Elijah mclean. Nathan Woodyard was found not guilty of manslaughter. He's been suspended from the police department without pay since 2020 last month, another officer involved was found not guilty while that same jury found a third officer guilty of criminally negligent homicide. Mclean died after police placed him in a chokehold and medics injected him with ketamine later this month. In separate trials, two paramedics will be tried for their role.
