Popeye's has Fried KFC in the fast food chicken battle. It's now the second chicken chain in the US bumping KFC down to third. I do love Popeye's Chicken Chick Fil. A still reigns supreme though, holding the top spot as it has been making the move from a regional to a national chain over the last few years, Pope's rise to the second spot has no doubt been helped by the insanely popular chicken sandwich that was released in 2019 that sparked that chicken sandwich war between fast food chains. KFC has been losing market share as it fell to 11% from 15% in the past year. That's according to Barclays research.
