PPG's 2018 Color of the Year is "Black Flame." The lighter black hue is popping up all over homes, textiles, and more. Dee Schlotter is a senior color expert at PPG. She joins Cheddar to explain why Black Flame has been the most successful "color of the year" to date. Black Flame is described as black with an undertone of indigo. Schlotter says the color is popping up everywhere. People are even painting it behind their big screen TVs to almost make the TV disappear. Schlotter explains there is a psychology to the way colors make us feel. Red makes us feel excited and hungry even! In terms of what to expect for PPG's color of 2019, Schlotter says burgundy, red, and yellow are popping up.
