President Joe Biden is continuing his push toward an all-electric vehicle future, setting new sales targets for 2030. While speaking from the White House, he also re-upped on his commitment to bringing more than 500,000 charging stations to the U.S. and providing an electric vehicle tax credit for Americans that make the switch from gas-powered cars. Dan Ives, managing director of equity research at Wedbush Securities, joined Cheddar to discuss the president’s executive order that seeks 50 percent of car sales to be electric by 2030.
