President Trump Holds White House Vaping Summit With Industry Leaders, Health Experts, Advocates

In the wake of thousands of illnesses and a death toll that keeps rising, state governments are cracking down on vaping. The New York City Council approved a ban on most flavored e-cigarettes, and Massachussets just signed into law the country's toughest prohibition on flavored tobacco. Dr. Samantha Nazareth Board Certified M.D. and Gastroenterologist joined Cheddar to discuss.

The Center for Disease Control announced a possible breakthrough in determining the cause of the vaping epidemic. According to the CDC, Vitamin E Acetate was found in all 29 samples of lung tissue from patients who were tested. This follows a report that at least 39 Americans have died from vaping-related illnesses. More than 2,000 Americans have been diagnosed with vaping-related lung injuries. Prior to the announcement, YouGov conducted an exclusive poll for Cheddar finding a vast majority of Americans consider vaping dangerous.
