CEO and co-founder of skincare company Proven, Ming Zhao, talked to Cheddar about the impetus to start the brand after finding personal disappointment with the one-size-fits-all kind of products on the market. Along with co-founder Amy Yuan, a computational physicist, Zhao set about attempting to use data science and artificial intelligence to build better skincare regimens for customers. "My co-founder used A.I. to understand correlations between ingredients and who it will work best for," she said.
