Puking Bird Wins 'Bird of the Century'

A puking bird has been named New Zealand's bird of the century. After a campaign by TV, host and comedian John Oliver. Oliver's campaign even knocked out New Zealand's traditional favorite bird. The kiwi, which finished second in the contest. Oliver's campaign included erecting a billboard that read Lord of the Wings in the nation's capital Wellington and putting up other billboards around the world. He even dressed up as a bird during an appearance on the Tonight Show. The annual bird competition brings attention to New Zealand's native species, many of which are endangered.
