back everyone. Housewives super fans can't get enough of the latest edition of the real housewives franchise. We're talking all about the real housewives of Dubai as the 11 City in the franchise, the show follows a powerful group of lavish women that as they run business empires and expertly navigate a highly exclusive social scene within this ultra luxe billionaire's playground, take a look, anything is possible in Dubai, it's a land of opportunity, there's a lot of gold here and we have a lot of gold diggers too. Bye. They want my spotlight, it's fine I can share. And by the women are far from submissive, most of the women are running this town. Oh and it is juicy. Earlier I sat down with Nina ali star, the real Housewives of Dubai to talk all about the new show. Take a look this, by the way Brothers first international franchise does that almost give you a little bit more pressure having it be the first international franchise does. But also I we love like to be the first to show the world what Dubai is all about. Like you've had nothing but US franchise. So this is the first one that's international and it's in the Middle East and I'm Middle Eastern, so I'm really proud of that and I as a housewife super fan the city plays almost like another character in itself and I feel like you're starting to get for a lot of us who have never been to Dubai this sort of gives us sort of our first interaction with it as a character also in the franchise as well. Yeah. Yeah. The city is just, You know, Dubai, I've been there since 2011. Okay, so it's just I've been there exactly 11 years and every year it just gets bigger and bigger and they move so fast like it grows and they let's like, I leave now that I'm here for the summer, by the time I head back in the end of August I'm gonna see new buildings come up out of nowhere, but on top of all that, I think for a lot of us this is our first introduction to the city and I think there's also a lot of misconceptions about like what life is like living in Dubai as well that I think we're also getting used to as well, you know, for how they treat women or how they treat the L G B T Q community, all these other things that we're starting to realize on this and that's the thing, that's what we wanted to show people because there's so many miscommunication mis conceptions, conceptions, you know, there's so many of them out there, even when I first moved like, do you have to do this, do you have to, and I'm like, guys, I'm living the same way as I do in austin texas, but you know, yes, there's rules, There's laws but they're the good kind of rules and laws like, you know, they a quick simple one, you can't make out in public, but who wants to see you do that. So it's like those are rules that I can handle and because I'm a mom, I actually like that. Okay. Okay. Okay. Lots of rules. But it's, it's for, it's for the good. Okay. But the other thing I love about this show being a housewife super fan, The shade is incredible on this show. Like you ladies are so shady with one another is you almost feel like that's an art that you had to perfect Or have you always been really good at that? You know, I throw shade? Yes. Well all that, you guys are all really good at it. You guys are really good at it. I throw compliments. Yeah. Yeah, I know. But I think my some shade can be a little rough, but I think I throw shade. It's the shade you recover from in a minute. What do you think the shadiest of the ladies in terms of being able to throw it? I feel like Sarah's really good with it. Well Sarah's really good with it without like hurting you. Exactly. And I'm not meaning this shade makes me laugh by the way. It's been good because Phaedra who was one of the best shade on the whole franchise, having so many, so many appearances so far in the show so far. I really like that as well. You, by the way, the jack of all trades, it's so amazing when you sort of look at your background. I mean you have been huge and fashioned your apparent influencer, you run a successful fruitcake empire called Fruitcake, I mean, where did this passion for baking really stem from this? You know, my mom, she's always in the kitchen growing up. Typical Lebanese mom makes everything from scratch literally from the sauce to the bread, to everything. So for me, my mom was always the cook and I was always the baker in the interesting, it's therapeutic. I remember the days, especially in college where I'm like, okay, I've got a final, I've got this test and I was something about like baking whether this cheesecake, you know, muffins, brownies, brownies, Yeah, but do you always therapeutic totally. And I took up a lot of cooking during the pandemic, but I always start with cooking it's easier because I can always mess things up with baking it to be so specific. You have to be so precise, therapeutic because you focus, you forget the world and then you have to focus on, you know, cooking like my mom, it's like she, it's like mom, everyone says your mom needs to put recipes. I was like, her recipes are in her head, but for baking you, I mean, you go one half cup over a third, I mean you're you're done, but it's therapeutic for me and that's always been a passion, We learn a lot also in this, in this franchise, in this series about your family and your and your dad as well, how are things with your dad right now, much better, much better. I'm in Austin with him now, you know, so I'm spending the whole summer here um he's still in recovery, but he's home, he's home, he's back to go into his little work, he's moving, but it was, I mean he spent the whole month in the hospital and then oxygen after that was a long road had heart issues developed. I mean it was just, and and by the way we have your husband in, in the studio with us, which is amazing, has it been hard for the family to sort of showcase everything that happens in the house and do you ever sort of decide um you know, I just, I don't, these are the moments, I wish cameras were just not here right now. Yeah, I mean my husband's very private, you know, I've always been in the whole social media realm, like I've got my instagram so I was doing it for a few years, but you know, if you see my husband on my instagram because I post the photos, he doesn't even have instagram. Yeah, I think linkedin is as far as it goes for him, but it was, it was a bit hard because he's a, he's a more private person and he doesn't understand this world, you know the social media world, the tv world, I mean he's a hardcore businessman, So it was a bit tough to get him to be comfortable. My kids were okay, you know, especially my daughter Sofia, she's like, you know, are y'all paying me for this, literally, she would always say, are y'all gonna pay me for this? Because I don't have a contract. Right, right, right, but not right now, save it for the other with the last little bit of time we have left with you because you're so good on Andy with these games, we're gonna play a little game with you as well. We're playing who's who of Dubai? I'm going to give you a few scenarios, you tell me which of your house friends within the housewives of Dubai, this sounds the most like which housewife is likely to be late to an event? Who is it later, brooks brooks. Okay, okay, how about which house wife throws the best Shane? I think we talked about this. But who again, who do you think I say? She throws the funny shade. Yes, yes. Okay, okay. Better cook. I know you said you're the better baker, but who's the better cook still? I'm gonna still gonna be you. Okay, okay, okay. Who has the best style? All you ladies have amazing style, but who do you think has the best style? You know, I think we're all unique in our own way, but for I would probably say Chanel Chanel's great, true. She's over the top always brings it to, She always brings this. So I give credit words. Okay, final one who gives out the worst advice? Who you never taking advice from? Is this a tough one? It's a tough one. Because is it Caroline? What? No, I like Caroline's advice. I love Sarah's advice. I'd probably say maybe. I don't know. That's actually a hard one. Yes, that's true. That's true.
