'Reha App' Helps Users Discover Their Vedic Astrology

a new app is giving people a full circle view into their zodiac charts and how it pertains to love the Raya app is the very first vedic astrology app for relationships and Self discovery. It was created by Sophia one whom you may have seen on season two of the hit netflix show, Indian matchmaking, where she helps her client and friend better understand her potential love interest based on their zodiac charts, take a look domine based on his venus and mars, it's centered in Virgo. So like, they love through criticism, they love through, you know, oh I want to just make us better, you're like, no, don't tell me, you know, you look so like not having it all right joining us now to talk all about her new app and indian matchmaking is Sophia one herself, co founder and chief executive officer of rehab. Sophia, welcome to the show, we want to get to your app we're going to in just a moment, but people can't stop talking about season two of indian matchmaking. What was it like to be part of that show? Um it was so fun, it was incredible and honestly, like the way that they cut the segment was really great because that's truly how our conversations do go a lot of times when I talk to clients, so it was a great fun experience and I'm actually dear friends with a partner um she's a really close friend of mine and I've been some pretty good friends with a couple other castmates. So it's been nothing but a great experience for me, let's talk about because you're her astrologer and one episode you told her that her love partner was orbiting her, tell me what that means, what does it mean of orbiting and how a person's love could be right under their noses? Yeah, so oftentimes um the person that we're meant to meet and come into contact with will be orbiting as I call orbiting, but really it just means that they're in your your spear or your social circle or somehow that you might have crossed paths with them um and that your energy just wasn't open and ready to meet that person. So this could be like a friend of a friend or perhaps you met them somehow in passing, you were in the same exact place at the same exact time, but didn't meet and this happens quite often. I have several friends where they've had mutual friends for 10 years and I've never met, so that's an example of orbiting, I love that. Alright, let's talk about the Raya app, it's now live on the app store after more than two years in the making, what's the journey been like for this app? Sophie oh man, it's been really incredible. Um definitely the startup journey is not for the faint of heart, but really, this grew out of my passion for vedic astrology, I started studying it when I was working, my very corporate job in new york city and it really helped me understand and honestly accept what you could call an existential crisis at the time, I feel like most of us go through those um and you know, the big question that kept coming up was what's really my purpose and what am I really here for? And so um and then a lot of that stemmed from relationships like why do I keep attracting this kind of person? And I found that this was a common theme amongst a lot of my girlfriends. So I started studying this avidly um and then became super intrigued by vedic astrology because vedic astrology is very compatibility focused. So over 90% of indian marriages incorporate vedic astrology in the matchmaking process and I really wanted to learn that aspect. So um that's how we really ended up crystallizing. I met my indian american um co founder wrote both coaches, an entrepreneur and he loved the idea and so I decided to relocate to Hyderabad part time to really understand indian culture and that's kind of where we are today, but lots of twists and turns and I'm super proud of the global team that I've built and put together across India America Denmark. Yeah, there's so much buzz around the show before I let you go. Sophie I have to ask when it comes to dating, should people find out their dates zodiac sign before the first or maybe even second date, I always think it's a really fun way to like break the ice actually. Um a lot of people think that that's like a intrusive question, but I think it's actually a fun way to get to know, know someone break the ice and um I always say like just be upfront and ask, you know, if you're actually interested, if you're not interested and don't ask, but I think it's a really great way to really start understanding that person's dynamic and what their, you know, motivated by.
