Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y. 11th District) is all about the Republican Party moving forward after the GOP voted to oust Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) from senior leadership for speaking out repeatedly against former President Trump's false claims of a stolen election. Malliotakis still praised Cheney, who helped fundraise for the Staten Island native's congressional campaign, but didn't say if she voted against the Wyoming representative herself. Instead, Malliotakis emphasized party unity and her support for fellow New Yorker, Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y. 21st District), a strong Trump supporter, to replace Cheney, citing the need for a party leader to represent the majority view of its members.
