Rep. Malliotakis Says Republicans Ready to Move Forward After Cheney's Ouster From Leadership

Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-N.Y. 11th District) is all about the Republican Party moving forward after the GOP voted to oust Rep. Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.) from senior leadership for speaking out repeatedly against former President Trump's false claims of a stolen election. Malliotakis still praised Cheney, who helped fundraise for the Staten Island native's congressional campaign, but didn't say if she voted against the Wyoming representative herself. Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y. 21st District), a strong Trump supporter, to replace Cheney, citing the need for a party leader to represent the majority view of its members.
