Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg testified in front of the House Financial Services Committee for hours Wednesday, facing a grilling from lawmakers on both sides of the aisle as it pertains to its crypto based money transfer software, Libra. But the elected officials did not stop with Libra, Chairwoman of the committee Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) asked the Facebook Chief about the platforms controversial political ad checking system, to which Zuckerberg responded: “Our policy is that we do not fact check politicians’ speech.” In an interview with Cheddar following the testimony, Rep. Waters said Facebook "absolutely cannot" be trusted.
