After the NATO summit, President Trump heads to Helsinki to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin, raising concerns for both American allies and lawmakers. They worry that Trump may end up making too many concessions, as he did during his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. “It seems as though this president enjoys to give away the store to individuals who have been antagonistic towards us,” says Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY), who sits on the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The committee sent a letter to the president on Tuesday urging him to stay wary of Putin.
