The group is claiming that the new law passed in september shouldn't go into effect until all petition signatures are verified. There are about half a million fast food workers in California and a newly appointed counsel that could raise their wages as high as $22 an hour and that would grow with inflation. Currently, California's minimum wage is about $15 an hour and it is set to rise in 2023 to about 15 50. The companies tied to this restaurant group includes Mcdonald's Starbucks, Taco Bell parent yum brands and Chipotle. Here's how those companies are faring. In our last trading session of 2022 Starbucks is actually in the green 3/10 of a percent. Mcdonald's Chipotle young brands, also in the red, hovering a little less or a little over 1%.
