The 2023 award season is shaping up as the Golden Globes returned to television and the Screen Actors Guild Awards release their nods for this year.

This year, showrunners are taking a different approach in how they deliver the ceremony to audiences. The awards are set to broadcast from Netflix's YouTube channel. It's a setup for a multi-year partnership as the 2024 show is slated to stream directly from the Netflix platform.

"The SAG Awards are beloved by the creative community and viewers alike, and now even more fans around the world will be able to celebrate these talented actors," Bela Bajaria, global head TV at Netflix, told Variety.

When it comes to film nominations, The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All at Once lead the way with five nods each. On the television side, Netflix's Ozark leads with four nominations and, surprisingly, HBO's House of the Dragon was snubbed out of nods this year.
