Samsung Posts Better-Than-Expected Operating Profit

Samsung has reported better than expected operating profits on the third quarter, profit was down more than 75% from a year ago but not more than 260% from the previous quarter. The company also missed expectations for revenue. Samsung says it is expecting memory chip demand to improve in the current quarter due to year end sales launches of new products and of course demand for artificial intelligence.
