Simone Biles Makes History at World Championship

Simone Biles made history again at the World Gymnastics Championship in Belgium. Yesterday, this time, the Olympic gymnast completed the yen double pike vault, becoming the first woman to land that move at an international competition. Biles led the US women's team through two subdivisions at the championship. The team is set to compete in the finals scheduled for this Saturday and Sunday. The US scored a combined 171.3 which is a substantial lead over second place Italy with a score of 162.2. Biles received an all around score of 58.8. The 19 time gold medallist returned to competing this summer ending a two year long hiatus following the Tokyo Olympics.
