Singer Tony Bennett Dead at 96

Tony Bennett died. He was 96 years old. The performer known as the last of the great saloon singers released more than 70 albums. He won 19 Grammys. He was known for classic songs like I left my heart in San Francisco, but also for performing more recently with Lady Gaga. In 2021 the two singers performed together for the last time in a sold out concert at Radio City Music Hall. They sang songs like anything goes and Love for sale. People loved Bennett. In a 1965 life magazine interview, Frank Sinatra said quote for my money. Tony Bennett is the best singer in the business. Friends and celebrities are taking to social media to react in an Instagram post actress, Viola Davis said of Bennett, quote, your greatness was not just measured by your talent, but your influence generations will be inspired by your work. Bennet's publicist confirmed his death saying he died in New York though no official cause is known yet Bennett was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease back in 2016
