Six Flags and Cedar Fair to Merge

And next up, Christen, a merger on the amusement park industry. This is big news. This is big news, Hannah. You're right. So Six Flags is merging with the amusement park operator, Cedar Fair in an $8 billion deal. The two companies own 27 amusement parks, 15 water parks and nine resorts across the US, Canada and Mexico. Well, this new company will be called Six Flags and it's gonna trade under Cedar Fair stock ticker. Uh, that symbol is fun. Aptly named, uh, Cedar Fairs Flagship Park. Cedar Point is located in Sandusky, Ohio and it also owns Knotts Berry Farm in California. Well, the move will reportedly save the two companies about $200 million in costs and it is expected to bring in $3.4 billion in revenue according to CNN.
