Six Former Mississippi Police Officers Plead Guilty to Assault

Six former Mississippi police officers pleaded guilty yesterday to brutally assaulting two black men. The officers who are all white entered a house without a warrant on January 24th and sexually and physically assaulted the two victims. One of the victims was shot during the 90 minute assault. All six officers were fired or resigned. The victims, Michael Coy Jenkins and Eddie Terrell Parker have discussed the case publicly. They filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against Rankin County in June seeking $400 million in damages.
