Last week, esports journalist Rod 'Slasher' Breslau broke the news that former Overwatch Contenders player "Ellie," once thought to be a female player, was in fact a male player posing as female. The player known as Ellie resigned from Contenders team Second Wind amid harassment and investigations into her true identity, but has since been revealed as the fabrication of high-level Overwatch player "Punisher."
