Other cities like San Francisco L A, Seattle and Denver are also looking at the issue when pushing for changes. Those against the ban argue it will inconvenience inconvenience, motorists and slow down traffic buses and deliveries. Recent data from the Governor's Highway Safety Association shows that in 2022 more than 7500 people were struck and killed by automobiles. This number which includes right on red accidents is the highest. It's been since 1981.
