Spending their time riding the waves, surfers are facing the impacts of climate change in full force. From warmer tides and stronger waves, to gnarlier storms, the weather is changing how athletes compete. Some critics argue the warmer climate is changing the surfing game for the better but the consequences for the future of the sport go much deeper. We spoke to Sophie Goldschmidt, CEO of the World Surf League about how global warming and climate change are impacting the sport of surfing.
