The startup Daybase is offering a new option for the future of the workspace, falling in between the work-from-home model initiated during the pandemic and a full return to the office. Former WeWork executive and now co-founder and COO of Daybase, Doug Chambers, discussed with Cheddar the "hub and spoke" idea growing alongside the hybrid, flexible workplace. He described the hub as the more traditional office or coworking space, and spokes are locations nearer to the employee where some work can be done but still from outside of their homes. "The spokes are really for when the hub is too far away but home is too close," Chambers said.
