As the world continues to search for a cure to coronavirus, the next best thing is a treatment. Some good news on that front. The anti-inflammatory steroid Dexamethasone has been shown to reduce deaths by about 30% for people on ventilators and reduce deaths by about 20% for people in need of supplemental oxygen. The NIH is now recommending this drug to some of the sickest patients hospitalized with coronavirus.
