We spoke to a number of guests about the traffic crisis in New York, following the 15 cycling deaths in the city this year. New York resident and cyclist, Josef Najm offered us the point of view of a bike rider in the overcrowded streets of the city. We then chatted about what to do if you are the victim of traffic abuse on the roads with, Steve Vaccaro, principal attorney at Vaccaro & White, and advocate for victims of traffic violence. We also talked to Marco Conner, Co-Executive Director at Transportation Alternative about opportunities to make New York a bike-friendly city. We ended Cheddar Rides with new from Lyft. We spoke to Graham Rapier Transportation Reporter at Business Insider about Lyft's exclusive contract for both docked and dockless bikes in San Francisco.

Mayor De Blasio Considers Requiring Helmets for Citi Bike Riders, Biking Licenses
With another cyclist killed in Bushwick over the weekend, the number of bicyclists killed in New York now stands at 20. That death toll is for 2019 alone. Yesterday, 6 weeks after announcing a plan to promote safe cycling, Mayor Bill de blasio told reporters he is mulling over the idea of forcing citi bike riders to wear helmets as well as having cyclists obtain licenses. We spoke to Marco Conner, Co-Deputy Director of Transportation Alternatives about the new initiatives.
