And new research indicating cars with AI significantly reduced rush hour congestion, engineers and mathematicians from universities nationwide studying what causes mass congestion even in cases where there are no accidents or construction. The findings indicate that humans have trouble driving in these extremely dense traffic conditions and they slow down as a result. Well, the phenomenon is referred to as phantom traffic jams, but in an experiment, the use of artificial intelligence and connecting cars proved to reduce major congestion by mitigating unnecessary braking while driving.
