Supreme Court Rejects Ohio State's Bid to Stop Abuse Lawsuits

The US Supreme Court today also rejected Ohio State University's request to stop lawsuits from proceeding. The case was brought forth by alleged sexual abuse victims who claimed they were abused by a doctor who was part of Ohio State's athletic department and medical staff. That Doctor Richard Strauss who died of a suicide in 2005 was accused of sexual abuse at the school between 1978 to 1998. The Supreme Court allowed litigation to continue despite these lawsuits having been brought forth decades after the alleged abuse occurred.
