Caitlyn Marie Armstrong, the woman suspected of killing a professional cyclist, attempted to escape authorities during a medical appointment Wednesday. Armstrong was charged with murder for allegedly shooting Anna Mariah Wilson.

And the woman suspected of killing a professional cyclist attempted to escape authorities during a medical appointment yesterday, Caitlyn Marie Armstrong was charged with murder for allegedly shooting Anna Mariah Wilson. In May of 2022 Armstrong fled to Costa Rica for 43 days before being arrested. A spokesperson for the Travis County Sheriff's office said as Armstrong and two corrections officers were exiting the medical building after the appointment, Armstrong ran and the officers pursued her on foot for approximately 10 minutes without ever losing sight of her. Authorities have yet to say whether Armstrong will face additional charges for the attempted escape.
