Midnights has sold 1.58 million copies so far, making it the biggest sales week of this year and the biggest sales week in seven years. It's also notable that over 500,000 of those copies were physical vine albums. Adele's 25 held the previous record for biggest sales in one week. This also makes Swift the first artist to sell at least one million copies in one week for five different albums. And if you can believe it, Swift is also now tied with Barbra Streisand for the most number one albums by a female artist with 11 albums. Honestly, so impressive here. I mean Barbra Streisand, I can't putting these two in the same category. It's really wild. I'm sure Taylor Swift is absolutely over the moon about this when you're saying babs in the same category of Taylor Swift. Yeah, you're in completely different categories here. This is amazing for her. And as you mentioned the biggest part in all of this five different albums. Now, within a million in its first week, Adele Cell has the record for most amount of units sold in a week, over three million for one week. That was her 25 album. And then Taylor Swift also joining Eminem Backstreet Boys and NSYNC for the highest grossing album sales of over a million in its first week. But either way, incredibly impressive. Oh yeah baker and also want to make one point about this vinyl thing here we have seen sort of a vinyl revival 2020 being the first year we saw vinyl sales eclipse that of cds. They now account for about 40% of sales driven by gen z and millennials. So not too shocking there.
