While people of color make up roughly 66% of New York City's public school system, highly competitive schools only enroll 10% of Black and Hispanic students. To fight this discrepancy, New York youth are taking matters into their own hands. Teens Take Charge is a growing coalition of high school students from across New York City who are fighting for the public school system to provide equal education regardless of race.
