Temple University's acting President, Joanne A EPPS died yesterday after getting sick on stage during a memorial service. EPPS reportedly slumped in her chair shortly after the event started and was carried out by a uniformed officer. A doctor speaking at a press conference described the incident as a sudden episode. EPPS was taken to Temple University Hospital where she was pronounced dead around 3 15 pm. Yesterday, she was 72 years old. Epp was Temple's former law school dean and Provost. She was named acting president in April.
