Tesla reportedly has the approval to build a new factory in Shanghai, China...so what does that mean for production costs? Dave Fanger, CEO of Swell Investing, joins "The Long and The Short" to discuss the benefits of the electric automaker's relationship with the Chinese government. He says China is the leader for electric vehicle sales, which means this relationship is a great win for Tesla. Not only will the car company be able to cultivate its relationship with China, but also its next-door neighbor, India. He says some of the challenges will be working with different politics, but the Chinese government is very forward-thinking when it comes to electric cars and will work closely with Tesla. On the other hand, Tesla isn't just a car company. It has many different green options within its portfolio. Fanger believes these other projects are actually more important to Tesla than manufacturing cars.
