Texas Attorney General, Ken Paxton has pleaded not guilty to 16 articles of impeachment. He entered that plea yesterday the first day of the impeachment trial. Paxton also left the trial early after the State Senate rejected his attempts to have the charges dismissed. The GOP led Texas House Representatives voted to impeach Paxton back in May accusing him of taking bribes and abusing his power in office. Paxton has denied wrongdoing and says he will fight these charges. His wife, State Senator Angela Paxton is attending the trial but is barred from voting on her husband's fate.
