On-demand music streaming has been dominated by Spotify in recent years, even though Pandora was the first mover in the space and Apple Music has legendary music producer Jimmy Iovine at the helm. Jason Moser, analyst at The Motley Fool, joins "The Long and The Short" to discuss how Apple Music can possibly catch up with Spotify. And as the Swedish company prepares for its IPO, is it worth its $20 billion estimate? Moser says that seems a bit optimistic for a company that is not yet profitable. He wants to see a few quarters of positive earnings before believing that valuation. Plus, what Pandora needs to do in order to survive the music streaming race. He talks about how platforms can differentiate themselves. It's all about the user experience, he says, since they can't really make their content unique.
