The Big East Tournament Returns to Madison Square Garden

Val Ackerman, commissioner of the Big East Conference, discusses the Big East Tournament's return to Madison Square Garden. The tournament is in its 36th year at MSG. Ackerman says despite the ACC Tournament coming to Barclays Center in Brooklyn last year, the Big East Tournament actually had its best year in 2017. Ackerman says it's a bonanza for basketball fans. Addressing the pay-for-play scandal enveloping the NCAA, Ackerman believes athletes should not be compensated but should also have the opportunity to go directly from high school to the NBA.
