The Day Ahead: DeSantis 2024 on Twitter, Fed Minutes & Earnings Galore

Now, let's look ahead at the events that are sure to move markets tomorrow. Starting with Florida. Governor Ron De Santis, who is expected to launch his campaign for the 2024 presidency tomorrow, De Santis is reportedly expected to make the official announcement with a splash. He's going to be in conversation on Twitter with Elon Musk and he's planning to follow up that appearance with another appearance on Fox News and officially launch his campaign by filing paperwork with the election commission tomorrow. De Santis has widely been seen as a challenger to former president Donald Trump and has been signaling a white house run for quite some time. Now, we heard directly from Elon Musk today, the Twitter CEO said that at a Wall Street Journal event that he will interview De Santis tomorrow on Twitter and tease a major announcement, Musk has expressed his support for De Santis in the past and the Federal Reserve will publish minutes from its latest meeting tomorrow. The Federal Open Market Committee decided at its most recent meeting earlier this month to raise its target interest rate by a quarter percent to five and a quarter percent that was the latest in a series of rate hikes in efforts to combat inflation. The minutes released tomorrow, we're going to learn more about what led up to that decision and how the fed views the overall health of the economy. And co and American Eagle Outfitters are among the companies reporting earnings tomorrow. Now, those two will be the latest in a series of retailers to report their latest results after Walmart Target and TJ Max parent company J X which all reported within the last week.
