The Day Ahead: February Jobs Report

Take a look at the events. Sure to move markets tomorrow. That all important February jobs report on top, that's going to be a big one closely watched by Wall Street every month comes after January's blowout report that showed more than half a million jobs created that month. Well above, I think more than double expectations. Well, the estimates for February a little bit more tepid but still more than 200,000 jobs expected to be added and that we still signal a very strong jobs market. So it is the case that good economic news can be bad news for stocks in this rising rate environment signaling that the fed is going to have more work to do to raise rates in order to try to bring down inflation. That's the goal so that wage number, wage growth or potentially lack thereof will be a very important metric that we get in that February jobs report tomorrow too.
