The Day Ahead: Macy's, Lululemon Earnings, ADP Jobs Report & Meteorological Summer

Take a look ahead at the event to move markets tomorrow. It is always earnings season and Macy's is among several companies set to report results tomorrow. The stock down 30% year to date ahead of that report. Of course, consumers pulling back on discretionary retail fellow retailers, Lulu Lemon and Dollar General also set to report. So we'll kind of get a range. I would say as to how the consumer is faring with these different companies, tech firms Dell and Broadcom also set to report as well as the food processing company, Hormel Foods. So join us on closing Bell, we'll break down the results in real time what they mean for you and your money and your investments. And after today's jolts report, we'll get another sense of how the labor market is doing with the A P employment report due out tomorrow. That report tracks private sector jobs added each month. And last month's report showed employers added 296,000 jobs in April more than double what economists expected. Also on the way is data on the first quarter, us productivity as well as is manufacturing data for May and construction spending for April kind of giving us a sense of broader sense, right of the economy. So tomorrow will be a very telling day from Wall Street and beyond. Tomorrow is also going to mark the first day of meteorological meteorological. Excuse me, summer, I got a little over hyped for that one. Meteorologists define the summer season based on the annual temperature cycle saying the season runs throughout the months of June, July and August. It's basically what we call summer. Right. So in astronomical terms, summer does start at the start of summer solstice that's going to take place on June 21st. Even though I think, you know, we've always, we've been saying in the past week, Memorial Day does kind of kick off the unofficial, the meteor meteor meteorological. It's a tongue twister for me. It's a joke for me. Uh, summer to start. So I hope you're enjoying summer. Indeed.
