Hello everyone, welcome back to between Bells baker Machado in new york Tuesday marked the start of the 2022 NFL season. Each of the 32 teams have now officially begun their training camps to prepare for the regular season training camp, crucial for those franchises because the time they put in now well they can pay off later when the games start to count in september. So here to join us now to talk all about the NFL a Seraglio sports talk show host, jo Seraglio joe, good to have you here. Thanks so much for joining us. Let's start with the defending Super Bowl champs, the RAMs in Los Angeles, they have all the star power all over the place. So what is the one thing you're watching closest right now with the RAMs? Hey baker thanks so much for having me. When you look at the RAMs in my new home of L. A. Out here, the scariest thing about this team is that the offense might have actually gotten better. They added Allen Robinson, the former Chicago bears wide out in the offseason. And now when you're pairing him with Cooper Cup, who just set all sorts of records at the wide receiver position last year, you're giving a veteran matt, Stafford reigning Super Bowl champion now, two wide receiver, one options on offense, they got even better and on defense with the addition of bobby Wagner they have an elite defender on each tier of the defense. Now, Aaron Donald on the line Wagner in the linebacking Corps and Jalen Ramsey in the secondary. I mean the NFC got weaker around them. It's gonna be tough for anyone to dethrone the RAMs. All right, so let's move and stay actually in the NFL NFC West. Let's talk about Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals here because Kyler Murray got paid, he got a lot of money. $230 million from the Arizona Cardinals. A lot of people though, joe say that this might be a risky sort of bet on somebody like Kyler Murray. What's your take? Yeah, I actually disagree with that. I think Kyler Murray is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. A lot of top 10 lists have been surfacing lately and some have him in that 8 to 10 range, some have him off the list. I I think he's a top nine top 10 quarterback in this league. His potential is through the roof. Truthfully, I think the cardinals made the right decision betting on Kyler Murray, I think if anything Cliff Kingsbury might be what's holding Arizona back. I don't know if he's cut out to be an NFL coach, but Kyler Murray, I think he's going to have a long successful career. Okay, joe, let's move to the center of the sports universe right here in new york city. The only place we care about sports, the Jets and the Giants really have sort of been kind of band for the last couple of years. The Giants have a new head coach. The Jets have a coach in their second year. Where do you sort of see the two New York teams stacking up this year? Look man, let's let's not sugarcoat it. Both of those teams have been horrific for the past half decade. I'm a die hard lifelong Giants fan and I have to say for the first time since Tom Coughlin was the coach of the Giants. I actually feel great about the direction that this team is heading and they crushed the draft. Their two first round, top 10 picks, Evan neal and Calvin Thibodeaux were sensational picks. Brian Dabul comes from a culture of winning in Buffalo the past few years with josh Allen and Sean McDermott. I really think the Giants are going to be a successful team. Maybe not this year, but in the years to come in and looking at the Jets, this is the only team that actually had a better draft than the Giants in that first round. They had three players With top 10 grades on him, Jermaine Johnson falling to them in the 20s was a godsend sauce Gardner at the cornerback position and then Garrett Wilson given Zach Wilson another another weapon there to work with. It's gonna be a huge year for Wilson in year two. He's got weapons, he's got protection, he's got a great coach and second year coach, robert Saleh, no excuse there for either new york team? Maybe not this season like I just said, but the Giants and jets should both be successful in the years to come. All right, let's move down to Tampa. Obviously tom brady retired. Unretired. He's about 97 years old right now, joe. But still a lot of people liking the bucks chances this year. Do you? I do 97 years old and he's got a 97 Madden rating after those came out last week. Look, Tampa Bay just replaced Antonio Brown with Russell gauge and now Julio Jones Brady is like a fine wine. The guy gets better with age and he's got weapons on weapons down there. Plus rob Gronkowski's girlfriend, the model Camille Kostic just came out and said last week. She doesn't believe that this retirement is quote permanent. So while Gronk won't be starting the year with Tampa Bay, maybe he comes back as a midseason edition and the bucks have another run in them. Okay, finally we only have a few seconds left on the the betting odds right now have the Buffalo bills as the favorite to win the Super Bowl words I have never uttered in my life, joe. Is that gonna happen? Who's winning the Super Bowl? There's my pick man, It's the Buffalo bills over tom brady and the Tampa Bay Bucks. I have to do it in the ST bonaventure alum went to school in the shadow of buffalo. So all my classmates are banking on me here. We're going to be jumping through tables in february.
