This Week In Trivia: The MCU, 'The Mummy,' & Beyonce

Happy friday friends Welcome back to Between Bells. You know, Hannah living through history. It's just downright exhausting and as a result we miss everything. So with that mine it's up for another edition of this week. End trivia. The game works. If you haven't watched before, we'll recap a big story from the week and then receive a question that's kind of sort of related to it. Here's the thing though, baker and I have to agree on the answer. All right, you ready for this challenge? All right, first up, the Avengers are assembling once again. Now they have a director, Destin Daniel. Cretin is set to direct Avengers the Qing dynasty after helming last year, Shawn Key and the Legend of the 10 Rings. The filmmaker is developing a live action series featuring Wonder Man that he will executive produce and the sequel to Shaun Avengers. The Qing Dynasty is expected to close out the phase six of the M. C. You set to be released in May of 2025 without a little bit of time. Alright speaking, the Russo Brothers, netflix is looking to turn the Gray man into its own cinematic universe. While the movies just debuted on netflix last week, the streamer already has some big plans announcing not just a sequel, but also a spin off given the streaming giant spent $200 million to make the Gray man. It's not a big surprise that netflix wants to take it to the next level. Many franchises have tried taking a page out of netflix's book in creating a successful cinematic universe. Think Sony's universe of marvel characters with Spiderman and Warner Brothers Dc extended universe with Aquaman and Wonder Woman, but not all cinematic universes have had success. Universal's dark universe, totally flopped. The monster franchise began and died with 2017. The money. That was one way by the way with time we found out yesterday that one of its biggest flop flop. Okay, so how much of the money earned in its debut weekend. Alright, okay, a 15.2 million. B 22.8 million. C. 31.6 million D. 40.1 million. Okay, so so yeah, exactly. I would think so. I would think less than $30 million was considered a flop because look, right, I mean look, yes event. Any sort of big superhero film pulls in over $100 million. Uh You know, we were we were saying Jordan peel's latest film, you know, got $40 million at the box office last weekend and it was considered success. So if it's considered a flop, I would almost say $15 million. But but it was the last answer. So maybe it's not this one, Maybe it's about 22 million. Wanna lock in 22 baby, let's go, let's go be okay, be okay, let's see. It was a little bit more than that. The mummy starring Tom Cruise pulling in only $31.6 million in its opening weekend in 2017. The flap brought on a speedy unraveling for the dark universe. Future projects like Bride of Frankenstein featuring Angelina Jolie and a new version of the invisible man with johnny Depp were all in the pipeline. But it all fell apart pretty quickly. Tom Cruise, I feel like must have taken that hard. You must have but it worked out in his name because now Tom come Maverick, the best movie he's ever had his entire career. Yeah, literally. Almost $2 billion. I feel like it's gonna get there. All right, when you think of the biggest names in hip hop, you probably think of names like Drake, Kendrick, Lamar Kanye, but Future making it clear that he also belongs to that conversation. Earlier this week, we told you about the Recording Industry Association of America recognizing the Grammys award winning rapper for over 95 million units, certified gold, platinum and more over the course of his career. Now, Future's career spans nine albums, 60 it's incredible. The milestone comes on the heels of his latest album, I never liked You, which reach R. I. A gold status in less than three months now, Futures accomplishment leads to our next question, Hannah, which artist has the most diamond albums? Is it Garth brooks? The Beatles Led Zeppelin or M and M I don't think Eminem has multiple diamond album. I mean, that's nothing to say about against him. I just feel like those other three artists are in a different sort of category than so I I almost would say it's gotta be A or B. Garth brooks. I think it's like one of the most highly successful country artists like literally like that I've ever created. The Beatles obviously have such a huge history of decades of success, but I almost want to say it's because of how he's basically capitalized on country music, People love him. I just want to say on all of these. Okay, what is the answer? It is, yes. Hello, Real friends in low places. Garth brooks Nice has nine diamond certified albums. Those albums include The Chase, the hits, no fences, but the Beatles Led Zeppelin and Eminem round out the top foremost. Diamond. Eminem does have diamonds though, does have diamonds. And we've been talking about this all day the arrival of Beyonce seven studio album renaissance. It's here, everyone. The track list includes Break My Soul. Alien superstar America has a problem and I'm that girl, Beyonce, Beyonce's husband, Jay Z appears on the new album as well as drake the Dream and relax If you haven't already, you haven't already added renaissance to your summer playlist. You're doing something wrong. Beyonce has a long list of accomplishments. We love her. She was the first black woman to headline Coachella. That was iconic. Beyonce's 1, 20 nine MTV video music awards making her the most awarded artist in award show history. She's also the eighth most awarded artist at the billboard Music awards. Well deserved by the way. So this leads to our final trivia question how many Grammys as Beyonce one and all these numbers are incredible. B 22 C 28 D 32. Oh God, this is, look, I any crazy in love lemonade? There's so much and I almost think though I almost want to say it's 18 only because I feel like 32. I feel like the most the person with the most amount of Grammys is like a composer. It's like, you know like somebody that's done, you know like you know sheet music forever. But either way 18 is still like insanely amazing if she's got it and this is why I'm going back to a on every single one of these. Let's go in, come on all of this. 28 She's so amazing. 28 Grammy awards during her career, wow, we really sold her, she's been nominated 79 times and won her first three Grammys with Destiny's Child with 28 trophies. She ties producer Quincy jones. She's only three awards away from the all time record, which is 31 32. So it's probably a composer, it probably is like a producer I'm assuming. But literally to think that she is only three away from the all time record is absolutely insane. She absolutely based on the trajectory of where she's at in her career, she will shatter that record. It was like she will like basically take that record to the moon. And remember renaissance is part one of three. So there's a lot, there could be a million other albums she has right after that.
