The U.S. women’s national soccer team’s fight for equal pay continues even as the team battles for gold during the Tokyo games. Last year a judge struck down an equal pay lawsuit filed by the team and said the women did not raise a triable issue that would warrant contract restructuring. Jessica McDonald, pro soccer player, Title Nine ambassador, and former USWNT member, and Missy Park, the founder and CEO of Title Nine, joined Cheddar’s Between Bells to discuss the ongoing appeal process and Title Nine’s $1 million donation to the USWNT in an attempt to narrow the pay gap.
