#TrendCheck: TikTok Raises Some Age Requirements, Crazy Halloween Glam

that's right, Shannon, I'm here with your trend check to tell you what people are talking about on social media. So to start off, let's talk about some changes coming to Tiktok, Tiktok is raising its minimum age for posting live content from 16 years old to 18 years old, starting next month, Shannon and Chloe, what do you guys think of this new move? I think it's a great thing. I'm still trying to keep all my kids off of Tiktok and social media, having their own accounts that even though you're the social media star, I know they're not ready for it mentally. I just think it's too soon for kids and they're just surfing through all that stuff. So I agree with 18 year old rule is definitely good because those kids get out there and do some wild things. Yeah, it's supposed to protect these kids from, you know, not only seeing things that maybe they shouldn't, but also seeing things that might not interest them. And this is, you know, just another in my opinion, step from Tiktok just to ramp up competition with these other platforms. You know, recently we've heard they're launching, you know, shopping features, they're trying to become a music label and now they're in introducing, you know, group live streams as well for creators. So, so much happening here, Katie. Exactly. Well, I think this is a great move in the right direction for Tiktok. So I'm excited to see what they do next. But also on Tiktok this morning one creator is going viral for her impressive Halloween looks. The user, the faux Chanel is known for her impressive Halloween glam and she recently did a glam scream look as you can see. It's a process from the makeup to the rhinestones. I just, I'm so mesmerized by watching her look Shannon and Chloe. What do you guys think of this? How painful do you think taking off the rhinestones is? I know, probably very painful, but she probably no telling. She probably has an easy hack for that as well. A lot of Vaseline maybe, but I love the, oh my gosh, I love it. I follow so many really creative creators on instagram and Tiktok and it's super exciting to see them. Like transform these like traditional Halloween looks. It's pretty amazing.
