Let's get things off with the look at the weekend box office, shall we smile. Didn't have that much to frown about over the weekend. That is the new horror movie debuted at number one with $22 million. Meanwhile the weekend's other big release bros, the first gay rom com from a major studio had a little bit of a disappointing debut, number four with just $4.8 million. Now Billy Eichner, the film's writer and star, blame the low numbers on homophobia and not enough straight people showing up to theaters. The movie still sitting at 91% on rotten tomatoes and received a rare a score from cinemascore. I mean, look, all of my instagram granted, my instagram is all my gay friends were all watching this movie this weekend. So I thought, wow, this probably is gonna do really, really well. Theater and the reviews have been so fantastic and every person I know that has gone to see it, like is leaving in tears and loves it, but maybe Billy Eichner is bringing up a good point, there's not enough straight people that went to go see it this weekend. I just wonder if rom coms are still appealing to people to go into the but it's a different type of rom coms that we haven't seen before, especially not at the box office, that's true. And actually I watched it look funny, the trailer and the trailer looks great. But I mean guys, I'm still going to see it regardless. And again, I'm hoping maybe a sequel comes after all of this and more at the box office, this movie is going to dominate in a month. Disney has released the second official trailer for black panther Wakanda forever Take a look, show them cool, wow. The trailer giving viewers the best look yet at the new black panther fans have been speculating for 18 months over who could don the suit following the death of Chadwick Boseman Guys chills cannot. And this is one of your favorites. That's one of my favorites. I definitely think it's going to be his sister is gonna take over this. I also think Lupita and Yanga will put on the suit for a moment to help fight, but ultimately his sister takes the throne. I can't wait for this. There's a lot obviously discussed because the character t'challa Janet bozeman's character dies in black panther also. Plus apparently there's some mutant that they're sorting to introduce as well. This is why the Hollywood reporter reported last week that this film is almost three hours long. It's worth it. It's worth every minute. Alright, well we hope you're sitting down right now because at long last Beyonce has released a music video for a track off her new album Renaissance. Come and get what? No. All right, well Beyonce teamed up with Tiffany and co for the summer renaissance video and now it's part of the Jeweler's new, lose yourself and love campaign and I'm here for a gagging. I'm like so like this is incredible because we knew the renaissance album was gonna be disco infused and now we sort of have our first sort of music video by the way. This isn't the official music video but it's sort of like a tease of what we're gonna be getting. By the way. Miles Teller hosted. Fresh off co starring in one of the biggest movies ever. That being top Gun Maverick Jon hamm love him. Also popped up in the show is called Open. The sketch addressed concerns over the show's future following the departures of a lot of key cast members over the summer including kate mckinnon, Aidy Bryant and Pete Davidson. They even addressed it in the cold open. They were saying like who's gonna be playing all these figures from the trump administration, who's playing lindsey Graham, who's playing Rudy Giuliani, oops, Oh by the way, that was all kate mckinnon, you play so many characters. You were actually in studio. I was, I went to Snl, I went to the taping, it was so much fun. But you also don't, you realize like how many sketches get cut at the end of the day, how much changes have to go through it. But look, SnL sort of highlighted that they're going to be in this transition year because they have a lot of new people that are in there. One person I think is gonna be a huge star this year. Devin walker was one of the new additions this year. He played corn kid in the cold open. He apparently like is like really like hot on the comedy scene. I feel like he's going to be like sort of the up and coming star. I also think Chloe fireman is going to be the next kate mechanic cause I feel like she can play so many different roles include that, that, that Nicole Kidman sketch that she was Miles Teller. I know we're going to get you caught up on everything going on with America's first family. I can't believe we're calling them that. But here we are. It's time for catching up with him is stepping into the home accessory space. That's not all. She's also releasing her first Spotify exclusive podcast. Now if you watch the Kardashians on hulu, you know, kim has an eye for design and his passion about criminal justice reform. Her new home accessories reflect her clean, minimalist look style and her podcast follows the story of an Ohio man convicted of triple homicide who's trying to prove his innocence. I mean is there something the Kardashians don't have their hands in by the way, the home decor the garbage can is about $100. This whole set is 355 million $355. This I know Shannon for the holidays. I don't like color, but let's talk podcast here for a second because they've already released the first couple of episodes of this. You mentioned that this one's focusing on this man from Ohio who they believe is wrongfully accused of murder. He has spent 28 years of his life already in jail. There's only eight episodes total, but one a week and I really enjoyed that. She's really highlighting a lot of these untold stories. Yeah, I respect that these stories and I love the work she's doing with the prison system. Alright, well moving on kiki palmer is adding a new title to her resume. Network founder. That's right. The note star says that she's launching her own digital network key tv. And Palmer is describing the project on social media as a platform where our stories matter and we are represented as the keys to the culture. I love this, I love her and everything she continues to do again. One of those people that can do anything, everything she is so multifaceted. I mean the fact that she has some talk show, she used to be with, you know third our G. M. A. With Michael strahan. She's an actress, she's a singer. She literally, she's now an entrepreneur. She's now creating a network. I mean look, you know, in this new streaming world you can have platforms like a cheddar and a key tv and all these other things out there. And this is just great because now she can highlight so many other voices of people that probably we're not being told for so many years. Not only that she gives a lot back to so philanthropic work is amazing. So yes, good jacket. All right, next up friends, we had to see this coming the director of the new film Bones and all is now shooting down comparisons between the cannibal drama and Armie hammer. You stick with me here Luca Guadagnino, the director of the film which follows Two cannibal lovers played by timothy Shalom a interesting enough from Call me by your name and taylor Russell. Oh yeah. Guadagnino also directed Shalom and Hammer and call me by your name over the weekend. When asked if there was any connection between the movie and Hammer? Well, the director responded by saying quote, any correlation with this kind of innuendo and silliness is just preposterous. I mean yes it does. Yes, of course he's gonna be asked. I mean the fact that there's, you know, all of this he's claiming by the way that they started the script process and creating this when they were shooting. Call me by your name. But you would have had to thought, I think at one point he was going to ask based on all the allegations going to Armie Hammer about him, you know, eating women's bones and ribs and stuff like that, that this would have been brought up. He did say by the way, and apparently this masterclass overseas about this film that they really we did research about cannibals in terms of where they bite people and how they do it. And I think that there's actually a person Yes, you have to be authentic. Do you think that there's actually a person out there that helps guide the movie theaters and movie studios like no that's not right and blonde might be at the top of netflix's most watch list but it is not at the top of Emily Ratajkowski is list, the model and actor took to social media to accuse the Marilyn Monroe biopic of fetishizing female pain. Ratajkowski went on to mentioned the media's fascination with Britney Spears and Princess Diana's death as well. She says we obsess over dead girls and serial killers. I don't know if that's true and she wasn't gone girl so obsessed over that to you. But I don't think it's just women and I think we just like cereal. Well look what Jeffrey Dahmer is having a moment right now. Also I think people like escaped some tv and that is one of those ways to get a peek into someone else's crazy and weird life. The director, the director of blonde already kind of gave us a heads up that this was going to be a controversial film. I mean it's rated NC 17 for a myriad of reasons and and we knew this was gonna be a controversial film. I mean look, Emily Ratajkowski is fully able to say whatever she wants to say about this film, but I do have to say if she should see it first. I do think if you're going to criticize the movie, at least give it the chance to at least see it. So that way at least you can kind of see what the director was trying
