Trump to Surrender Next Week in Georgia Case

The district attorney prosecuting the Georgia 2020 election case says she wants the trial to start on March 4th of next year. A grand jury indicted former President Donald Trump and 18 others in the case on Monday. But negotiations between Trump's lawyers and Fulton County, Georgia D Willis's office are expected to continue well into next week. This comes after Willis set a deadline for all defendants to turn themselves in by next Friday, August 25. She also wants the arraignments to happen during the week of September 5. Now, if the March 4, th trial date is approved, the trial would start just one day before Super Tuesday. That's when several states hold presidential primaries.
