Twitch Updates Labels on Mature Content

While Twitch is introducing some new sets of labels that would require streamers on their platform to now provide clear content labels. Those labels would flag when content contained sexual themes, graphic violence, drugs or even profanity, then the new labels can be used as needed and they can also be added or removed throughout a live stream. So for example, if there's nudity on screen during a stream, the channel uh owner can then toggle the label on and off based on what appears on that screen in a blog post. Twitch said that the change was to help streamers connect with viewers who are more likely to be a good fit for their communities. It also said the change would help protect younger viewers and also would help with advertisers as well. Now Twitch giving people a little bit of time to sort of get used to this. I don't think they're gonna start really enforcing it hard core until July 20th, I believe is what they said there's going to be a little bit of a test period for people to sort of try this out to see how this works. And they also say you have to disable those labels after it's over. Because the next time you start your next Twitch stream, those labels would still be on here. But if you're looking to get advertising at the end of the day, this is going to be great because you could help with the micro targeting, especially with the demographic of micro targeting of 13 years and older. I mean, so many young kids are on Twitch every single day. We see so many artists on Twitch advertising their songs or whatever a new video game that they might be pushing. We've seen Post Malone doing it, we've seen Arian Grande, Ariana Grande do it. I think this is smart for Twitch, but I'm glad you pointed that out. You do have to turn this setting off for your next live stream where it's going to stay until you manually. You don't have explicit content on it. That right.
